Fiji Opens New Nakasi Immigration Office for Passport and Citizenship Services

Fiji opened a new immigration office in Nakasi on September 23, bringing passport applications and citizenship services to communities along the Suva–Nausori corridor. Immigration Minister Viliame Naupoto said Nakasi was chosen for its location between Suva and Nausori and its role as a commercial and service hub. He said many citizenship services are available online, but passport applicants must still appear in person for identity checks and biometric collection. The ministry expects a second new office in Rakiraki to be completed and plans further offices in Sigatoka and Nabouwalu.
