Rabbi Yoel Manowitz, head of Golan Yeshiva, called for continued cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces while discussing a religious-service dispute involving Givati's Rotem Battalion. In a podcast interview published Wednesday, he supported soldiers who stand by their religious principles but cautioned against making confrontations with commanders an educational model. He said disagreements should be handled through the military chain of command and the Military Rabbinate. Manowitz said senior leaders, rather than young soldiers alone, must bear the cost of any public struggle. He did not make a determination about the incident's disputed details.
