NPO Confirms Netherlands Will Rejoin Eurovision 2027 After Israel-Related Boycott

Dutch public broadcaster NPO said the Netherlands will send an entry to the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest in Burgas, Bulgaria, after sitting out the 2026 competition. AVROTROS, which previously managed the Dutch entry, said last month it would stay out of the 2027 contest because of concerns about its neutrality amid the Gaza war. The broadcaster had explicitly linked its earlier boycott to Israel's participation. NPO said an independent team will select and support the Dutch act, while NOS will provide coverage and commentary. The three shows are scheduled for May 11, 13 and 15, 2027; the performer has not been named.
