Upwind Acquires Israeli AI Security Startup Aegis

Israeli cloud security company Upwind is acquiring Israeli startup Aegis in an all-stock transaction reported Wednesday. Aegis founders Omri Limor and Saar Ankonina are expected to lead Upwind AI Security Labs, a new unit focused on protecting AI agents and identifying emerging attack methods. The companies had previously worked together on a strategic partnership. The transaction is estimated at tens of millions of dollars, but Upwind has not publicly disclosed a final price. The planned lab is expected to begin with 12 researchers and developers drawn from both companies and grow to about 25 within three months.
