Roy Fisher, head of Israel's Foreign Trade Administration, said export boycotts are effective in only a few places in Europe, naming Spain and the Netherlands. In an interview published Wednesday, he said restrictions vary by country and product, while Israeli exporters can adjust their destination markets. Fisher said the administration is helping companies seek customers in India, the Philippines, Chile and Brazil. He described overseas manufacturing as a global business pattern rather than, by itself, evidence that Israel's economy cannot grow. His remarks followed questions about Israeli goods produced outside the country.
