Neria Leiter Undergoes Brain Surgery After Route 443 Ramming

Shaare Zedek Medical Center said Neria Leiter underwent hours of complex brain surgery after he was wounded in the Route 443 ramming near the Maccabim checkpoint. Doctors said his condition had stabilized somewhat after the operation, but remained very serious and his life was still in danger. Professor Alexander Yuskovitz, the hospital's deputy medical director, and Dr. Alon Schwartz, its trauma director, described his treatment in a hospital update. Surgical and intensive care teams continued treating him at the Jerusalem hospital following the attack.
