Katz Calls Erdoğan a 'Paper Sultan,' Says His U.N. Speech Was Antisemitic

Defense Minister Israel Katz on September 24 called Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan "a paper sultan who is strong in antisemitic incitement speeches but weak in deeds" in a post on X. Katz wrote that Erdoğan had stood on the UN stage this week and delivered an antisemitic, inciting speech, and that "the man who embraces and funds Hamas's murderers and rapists" was accusing Israel, which is defending itself against the terror organization. "I suggest he stop meddling with Israel," Katz wrote. "The State of Israel is strong and knows how to take care of itself; we are not the Kurds and the helpless whom he abuses in Turkey."
