Second Child Dies After Blue Mountains Stabbing as Woman Faces Another Murder Charge

A 1-year-old child died in hospital on September 24, four days after three children and a 42-year-old woman were found with stab wounds in a vehicle on Waratah Road in Valley Heights, in the Blue Mountains, NSW Police said. A 5-year-old was found dead at the scene, and a 3-year-old remains in a critical condition. The woman was charged on September 22 with murder and two counts of causing wounding or grievous bodily harm with intent to murder, all domestic-violence offences. Police said she will face an additional murder charge over the 1-year-old’s death and is next due at Penrith Local Court on November 20.
