UAE Condemns Ben Gvir’s Temple Mount Visit and Urges Israeli Response

The United Arab Emirates Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s visit to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. It described the visit with other people under Israeli police protection as a provocative escalation, and urged Israel’s government to condemn the action and hold those involved accountable. The ministry warned that the episode could increase tensions and called for the protection of holy sites and respect for the compound’s historical and legal arrangements. It also reaffirmed Jordan’s custodial role over the Muslim religious endowments there. Its statement did not announce any diplomatic measure against Israel.
