Ireland Ends Pre-Match Press Conference After Israeli Reporters' Questions

Ireland's pre-match press conference at TSC Arena in Bačka Topola, Serbia, ended early on Saturday after exchanges with Israeli reporters ahead of Sunday's Nations League match against Israel. One reporter asked about this week's Israel-bound Flydubai flight incident, prompting an Irish communications official to restrict questions to football. Another reporter alleged that Irish players had used racist language toward Israeli players in their previous meeting; the official denied the allegation. Coach Heimir Hallgrímsson subsequently spoke separately with Irish written journalists in a changing room after the public briefing ended.
