A team of Israeli investigators has arrived in the United Arab Emirates to assist the inquiry into the attempted hijacking of a Flydubai aircraft, according to a report published Saturday evening. UAE Attorney-General Dr. Hamad Al Shamsi previously ordered specialised Public Prosecution members to investigate the incident. Flight FZ1073, travelling from Dubai International Airport to Tel Aviv, diverted and landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. The UAE Foreign Ministry said Emirati judicial authorities have jurisdiction because the aircraft is registered in the UAE and carries its flag, including for crimes aboard outside Emirati territory.
