Some Israeli Airlines Told Monday's Dubai Rescue Flights Are Canceled for Now

Some Israeli airlines have been told that rescue flights from Dubai scheduled for Monday are canceled for now, leaving their departures uncertain. UAE authorities are refusing screening stations requested by the Shin Bet, following rescue services that operated over the weekend. Demand is relatively low because most Israeli travelers have found other routes home, including Israeli carriers, Etihad and connections through another country. The Transport Ministry had asked Etihad to add two daily flights but subsequently told the carrier that extra service was unnecessary.
