Arkia postponed the Friday-noon departure of an empty aircraft intended to bring Israelis home from Dubai after the United Arab Emirates demanded a cargo aircraft to collect passengers’ baggage. The airline said it would send another aircraft for the suitcases, while Emirati authorities required the procedure for all upcoming repatriation flights. Under the security arrangements, baggage must travel separately and passengers cannot take suitcases or trolley cases aboard. The return operation follows Wednesday’s attack aboard an Israel-bound Flydubai flight.
