Transport Minister Miri Regev said Friday morning that final approval had been secured for repatriation flights from Dubai. Following the approval, Arkia said it planned to send an empty aircraft to Dubai and return passengers Friday evening, with another rescue flight expected Saturday. El Al had canceled its two Friday flights and expected its operation to begin the following week. The ministry had earlier warned of delays while preparations and security coordination were completed. It also asked Etihad to increase flights from Abu Dhabi to Ben Gurion Airport; additional flights were not confirmed.
