Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry confirmed on Thursday that the captain and copilot involved in Flydubai flight FZ1073 had departed for Abu Dhabi with a UAE security team after receiving medical clearance. The ministry said preliminary Saudi investigations, conducted with the Emirati team, indicated that the copilot assaulted the captain, injuring both pilots. Both had been taken to a local hospital after the aircraft made an emergency landing in Tabuk on September 30. The flight carried 174 passengers and eight crew members, and the passengers continued their journey on a replacement Flydubai aircraft later that day.
