National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said Thursday he would demand in the cabinet that the flydubai copilot held in Saudi Arabia be extradited to Israel. He accused the pilot of intending to harm hundreds of innocent Israelis and said his prison policy would apply if the pilot arrived in Israel. The demand follows Wednesday's incident aboard Dubai–Tel Aviv flight FZ1073, which landed safely at Tabuk Airport after an altercation between its pilots. Flydubai said the underlying reasons and motives remain unknown and subject to formal investigation.
