Israel's ambassador to Greece, Pninat Yanay, warned against hate incitement in a social-media statement following the cockpit incident aboard a Flydubai flight bound for Tel Aviv. She described recordings of frightened children and a mother aboard the aircraft and urged people not to let incitement dominate their streets. Yanay said jihadist terrorism sought to harm Israel, undermine relationships built through the Abraham Accords, and spread fear between peoples. She said terrorism must not dictate the future of those relationships and affirmed Israel's commitment to strengthening them.
