Sa'ar Announces Cooperation Against Extremists With UAE Counterpart

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced Wednesday evening that he and UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan had agreed to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperate against extremist elements threatening regional security. Israel's Foreign Ministry said Sa'ar informed his counterpart that the Israeli passengers had returned safely after the Flydubai incident. The UAE ministry confirmed the call and said Abdullah conveyed wishes for the passengers' health and greetings to their families. Under Sa'ar's direction, ministry Director General Eden Bar Tal briefed Israeli ambassadors worldwide. Israel's ministry described the incident as an attempted terror attack against Israelis, the UAE and the Abraham Accords.
