Flydubai Confirms Pilots' Fight Triggered Distress Signal, Opens Investigation

Flydubai confirmed on Wednesday that a violent altercation between its pilots triggered the distress signal on a Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight that diverted to Saudi Arabia. The airline said it had opened an investigation and notified Israeli authorities. Its chief executive said another aircraft would be sent from Dubai to Saudi Arabia to collect the passengers and continue to Israel. The diverted aircraft landed safely in Tabuk with 174 passengers, including 27 children, after Israeli fighter jets scrambled in response to the alert.
