Shin Bet to Interview Flydubai Passengers as Netanyahu Cancels Southern Visit

Benjamin Netanyahu canceled a planned visit to Southern Command with Defense Minister Israel Katz and IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir following the incident aboard a Flydubai flight headed to Israel that diverted to Saudi Arabia. The three were expected to hold security discussions throughout Wednesday. Following a joint assessment by police and the Shin Bet, the agency decided to interview passengers when they return to Israel. Investigators were examining suspicions that one pilot tried to crash the aircraft, but there was no clear indication establishing what happened and all possibilities remained under examination.
