Flydubai Replacement Flight Lands in Israel With 174 Passengers

A replacement Flydubai plane carrying all 174 passengers, including 27 children, landed at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday evening after their Dubai-to-Israel flight was diverted to Tabuk in Saudi Arabia. Passengers applauded and sang after returning, roughly half a day after leaving Dubai. Passenger Daniela Elmalich described tears of happiness after landing and said she had earlier sent farewell messages to her parents. A man aged about 50 was taken to Assaf Harofeh hospital with a mild upper-body injury. The airline said a cockpit altercation prompted the diversion and remains under investigation.
