Israeli Official Says Israel Does Not Intend to Halt Flydubai Flights

An unnamed Israeli official said on Wednesday evening that Israel does not intend to stop Flydubai flights, voicing confidence in the Emiratis. The official credited Israeli passengers and two pilots with stabilizing the aircraft involved in the day's emergency. Flydubai separately said an altercation occurred on the flight deck of flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Ben Gurion Airport, and that on-duty crew traveling aboard secured the aircraft and diverted it safely to Tabuk. The airline said the incident has no impact on its other scheduled operations and that the underlying reasons and motives remain unknown and under formal investigation.
