Regev Asks Netanyahu to Halt Flydubai Flights Pending Inquiry

Transportation Minister Miri Regev asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday to halt Flydubai flights to Israel until the circumstances of the morning's onboard incident are clarified. She also requested Israeli-airline flights to Dubai with Israeli security screening, amid a disagreement over security requirements that currently prevents those services. Regev alleged that assigning an Omani pilot violated the Israel–UAE aviation agreement. According to her interpretation of the agreement, only pilots from countries with diplomatic relations with Israel may land in Israel.
