El Al Cancels Friday Dubai Repatriation Flights

El Al said both Dubai-to-Israel flights planned for Friday, October 2, were canceled, after the Transport Ministry had said overnight that Israeli carriers would begin bringing passengers home that day. The flights had been scheduled to depart Dubai at 11:00 and 13:00. The airline cited the preparations still needed and the proximity of Shabbat, and said its flights were expected to begin the following week on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. It said all seats on those planned flights were already filled. Efforts were also underway to increase Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi.
