UAE-Linked Source Accuses Israel of Delaying Flydubai Flights for Political Reasons

An unnamed source close to the UAE government accused Israel on Friday of using the attack aboard an Israel-bound Flydubai flight for political purposes and delaying the airline’s return. The source said Emirati authorities were willing to tighten procedures and check crews, while acknowledging that a failure had occurred. He questioned why Israeli carriers could carry passengers while Flydubai remained suspended. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu separately said investigators were checking whether someone had sent the copilot and warned that whoever sent him would pay a heavy price.
