First Arkia Repatriation Flight Lands at Ben Gurion

The first Arkia repatriation flight from the United Arab Emirates landed at Ben Gurion Airport early Saturday, bringing passengers back to Israel. The aircraft departed after the UAE required a cargo aircraft to accompany each passenger flight to Israel and carry the travelers' luggage. The return operation followed the September 30 diversion of an Israel-bound Flydubai flight to Tabuk after an altercation on the flight deck. Flydubai said its Tel Aviv services were temporarily suspended at the authorities' request and that it was supporting disrupted passengers.
