Arkia Repatriation Aircraft Lands in Dubai

An Arkia aircraft sent to bring stranded Israelis home landed in Dubai on Friday evening. It was expected to depart toward Ben Gurion Airport in the coming hours. The arrival followed the Transportation Ministry’s announcement that Israeli airlines would begin repatriation flights from the United Arab Emirates on October 2 after Flydubai suspended its Israel service pending investigation. The ministry had said the Israeli aircraft would fly empty to the Emirates and return with travelers who had been due to fly home on Flydubai, subject to final security approvals.
