Israeli Airlines Receive Approval for Monday's Dubai Rescue Flights

Israeli airlines received approval on Sunday evening for rescue flights from Dubai scheduled for Monday, October 5, reversing an earlier notice that the flights had been canceled. The approval followed a solution to a dispute over security arrangements, after the United Arab Emirates initially opposed Shin Bet screening stations, although the terms of the compromise were not disclosed. Demand for the remaining flights is relatively low because many Israelis have already returned through Israeli carriers, Etihad flights or connections via other countries. Etihad was told that two additional daily flights were no longer needed.
