Avigdor Liberman, leader of Yisrael Beiteinu, called for Shin Bet chief David Zini to resign over the Flydubai security failure. He blamed Zini and said the head of the service should have resigned after such a failure. Separately, lawmakers Efrat Rayten and Ram Ben-Barak wrote to Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara requesting an investigation. They alleged possible serious negligence and argued that the relevant bodies had legal tools to inspect crew information. Their letter said that averting a disaster did not remove the need to establish responsibility.
