Tom Kim Wins Asian Games Golf Gold as South Korea Takes Team Silver

Tom Kim won men's individual golf gold at the Asian Games in Japan on October 3, finishing with 262 strokes, 18 under par. The final round was played at Kasugai Country Club's East Course in Aichi Prefecture. South Korea took team silver with 534 strokes, behind China's 532, while Japan won bronze with 537. Kim's victory was South Korea's first men's individual golf gold at the Games since Kim Meen-whee won in Guangzhou in 2010, 16 years earlier. Japan's Kazuki Higa took individual silver and Thailand's Sadom Kaewkanjana bronze, both finishing with 265 strokes, 15 under par.
