Nana Patekar’s Last Rites Held at Pune Farmhouse After State Tribute

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of the nighttime exterior of Pune Airport in an archival September 2025 view, with its terminal facade, central entrance, streetlight, driveway and small vehicles; location context for the reported state tribute, not a depiction of the October 2026 tribute or funeral, rendered in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel strokes.

Actor Nana Patekar’s last rites were performed Thursday evening at his farmhouse in Donje, on Pune’s outskirts. His body was flown from Goa to Pune before being taken to the farmhouse, where residents from Donje and nearby areas gathered. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid respects at Pune airport. In an official post, he confirmed state honours and said he laid a wreath and consoled relatives. A farmhouse worker said Patekar had wanted his final rites to take place in Pune, preferably at the farmhouse.
