The UK government announced that Britain and Germany are committing to a partnership against cyberattacks, sabotage and other hybrid threats. The countries will share information and coordinate efforts to monitor, deter and disrupt hostile activity, including threats to critical infrastructure. The government identified Russia in particular as a source of hybrid threats across Europe and beyond. Prime Minister Andy Burnham is scheduled to visit Berlin on October 8 for his first face-to-face meeting with Chancellor Friedrich Merz, with European security and support for Ukraine on the agenda. A growth forum with British and German business leaders is also planned.
