The UK announced 38 new sanctions designations on October 8 targeting Russian oil revenue, financial services and military supply chains. The measures cover oil companies Zarubezhneft and INK Capital and 12 additional shadow-fleet tankers, taking the total number of sanctioned tankers above 600, according to the government. Three cryptocurrency exchanges, two payment platforms and one linked individual are also targeted. The package includes 17 entities and individuals over goods that the UK, US and EU identify as important to Russia's war effort, including machine tools, electronics and materials used for ballistic missiles and drones.
