Argentina’s Defense Ministry announced on October 8 that Defense Minister Carlos Alberto Presti and Israel’s new ambassador to Argentina, Ahuva Spieler Reshef, had signed a defense-cooperation memorandum. The memorandum between the two countries’ defense ministries was signed Tuesday, October 6, at the Argentine ministry’s headquarters. It followed several months of negotiations, and the ministry described it as strengthening bilateral relations in line with President Javier Milei’s policy of a strategic partnership with Israel. The ministry said the agreement opens opportunities to strengthen Argentina’s armed forces through expanded cooperation and exchanges in equipment, technology, innovation and development.
