Labour’s Sagal Abdi-Wali Beats Zack Polanski in Holborn and St Pancras By-Election

Labour’s Sagal Abdi-Wali was elected MP for London’s Holborn and St Pancras after an overnight count following the October 8 parliamentary by-election. Camden Council’s official results recorded 12,292 votes for Abdi-Wali and 8,928 for Green candidate Zack Polanski, a winning margin of 3,364 votes. Turnout in the constituency was 38.76%. Conservative candidate Ewan Cameron received 1,922 votes, while Reform UK’s Peter Newman received 1,612 and Liberal Democrat Patrick Thomas Stillman received 924. The council recorded 108 rejected ballots, including 43 marked for more than one candidate and 65 unmarked or void for uncertainty.
