Yari Says Tinubu’s Re-Election Campaign Will Begin in Kaduna on October 24

Senator Abdulaziz Yari said President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign will begin in Kaduna on October 24. Speaking after meeting Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on October 9, the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council director-general said the president had approved the proposed campaign timetable and state visits. Yari said the council’s inaugural meeting was scheduled for October 14 at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja. He named Port Harcourt in Rivers State and Maiduguri in Borno State as subsequent stops. He said the remaining itinerary would be made public after the council’s inauguration.
