New Poll Shows Tight DA-ANC Races in Two South African Metros

Newly reported MarkData polling puts South Africa's Democratic Alliance narrowly ahead of the African National Congress in Nelson Mandela Bay and Ekurhuleni. The DA polled 37.7% against the ANC's 37.4% in Nelson Mandela Bay, and 31.2% against 29.4% in Ekurhuleni. Both gaps fall within the survey's municipal margins of error. Interviews took place from August 10 to September 14, with 994 respondents in Nelson Mandela Bay and 1,019 in Ekurhuleni. The survey questioned registered residents intending to vote in the November 4 municipal elections.
