Saudi Aviation Authority Suspends Riyadh Airport Operations After Attack

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation said an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Saturday afternoon caused a number of injuries, with the total still being assessed. The authority announced a temporary suspension of airport operations following the attack. It said the suspension would remain in place pending completion of a damage assessment and checks on the safety of the airport's facilities, in coordination with the relevant authorities. The aviation authority said further updates would be announced later.
