U.S. Temporarily Authorizes Russian Diesel Imports Through April 2027

The U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control issued a temporary authorization for Russian-origin diesel transactions on October 9, 2026. General License 135 covers the sale, delivery, offloading and importation of that fuel, including imports into the United States, under two sets of Russia-related sanctions regulations. The authorization runs through 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on April 7, 2027. It does not permit debits to accounts at U.S. financial institutions belonging to Russia's Central Bank, National Wealth Fund or Ministry of Finance.
