Delhi Court Releases Three CJP Leaders on One-Year Peace Condition

A Delhi executive magistrate ordered the release Sunday of Cockroach Janta Party leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, on condition that they not breach the peace for one year. The three appeared before the special executive magistrate for South West District at Delhi Cantt police station. Their preventive arrest followed detention aboard an arriving flight Saturday, ahead of a planned protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. CJP legal-affairs head Ratna Singh announced their release, while lawyer Soutik Banerjee confirmed that all three could leave.
