Sacha Baron Cohen Confirmed for Tarantino Play as London Dates Are Announced

Sacha Baron Cohen will star in the title role of Quentin Tarantino's first play, The Popinjay Cavalier, at London's Phoenix Theatre. Previews begin February 23, 2027, ahead of an official opening on March 18, with booking through June 13, 2027. Tarantino wrote the play and will direct the production, produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sonia Friedman Productions. The comedy is set in 1830s Europe and draws on Hollywood swashbuckling traditions, with deception and disguise central to its story. Further casting will be announced later.
