Court Discloses Closed Testimony on Hefetz Investigative Exercise

Judges in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial disclosed Monday that the unidentified woman used in a 2018 police investigative exercise involving state witness Nir Hefetz testified Sunday behind closed doors. The court said her evidence mainly concerned investigative procedures involving her and authorized the limited disclosure after requests from news organizations, while her identity and further testimony remain protected. Hefetz has said investigators arranged an encounter with the woman while he was detained, but that the exercise did not cause him to sign the state-witness agreement. He said he signed that agreement about two weeks later.
