U.S. Expands Iran Strikes to Infrastructure and Interior Targets

The United States has expanded its renewed air campaign from Iran's coast to logistics infrastructure and targets deeper inside the country, including areas near Tehran. Recent strikes damaged bridges, a railway junction and communications sites, while attacks were also reported on military installations in Isfahan, Khuzestan and Fars provinces. The campaign remains less intense than the opening U.S.-Israeli offensive on February 28, and Israel has not joined this latest round. Washington says the strikes are intended to degrade Iran's ability to threaten civilian shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, while Israel remains prepared to act if Iran attacks it.
