Reports Diverge on Iranian Death Toll From U.S.-Saudi Iraq Strikes

A U.S. official was reported as saying roughly 20 Iranian advisers were killed in the joint U.S.-Saudi strikes on Iran-backed militia sites in eastern Iraq, including Revolutionary Guard members and technical specialists. Iraqi militia officials separately said six Iranian advisers were killed, while the Popular Mobilization Forces reported at least 20 fighters dead and 32 wounded. U.S. Central Command said the strikes hit logistics and weapons sites used by groups it said carried out more than 30 IRGC-directed drone attacks in 72 hours. The differing accounts leave the Iranian casualty total unresolved.
