Sa’ar Denies Haskel’s State Comptroller Ballot Claims in High Court Filing

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar submitted a sworn High Court response denying MK Sharren Haskel’s claim that New Hope lawmakers were required to record their ballot in the State Comptroller election. Sa’ar said no such request came from Likud and that, after hearing rumors that lawmakers might film themselves, he instructed faction members not to do so. He said, to his knowledge, none sent a recording. The filing directly contradicts Haskel’s affidavit, which said faction members were told to document their votes and show the footage to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; police took her open testimony on Sunday.
