Yemen Vows Response to Deadliest Houthi Attacks Since 2022 Truce

Yemen's internationally recognized government said its armed forces would respond to the day's Houthi missile and drone attacks at what its defense ministry called the appropriate place and time. The strikes hit army camps in Marib and Hadramout provinces, including the Al Ruwayk, Al Abr and Al Thaniyah areas. Casualty counts varied, with government sources confirming at least 30 troops killed and medical sources putting the toll at 38, the deadliest since a 2022 truce. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree claimed responsibility and said the Iran-backed group targeted Saudi-backed emergency divisions. The United States mission condemned the attacks as another example of Houthi terrorism.
