DR Congo's Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak killed 317 people in the seven days through August 22, pushing the official toll to 2,642 deaths among 5,514 confirmed cases. The health ministry reported 1,200 recoveries and 808 patients in care or isolation, with 55 new cases but no newly affected health zone in the latest 24-hour period. The outbreak has reached 57 health zones in six provinces, with Ituri accounting for 83.6% of confirmed cases.
