Abir Kara Says He Will Not Run in Upcoming Knesset Election

Former lawmaker Abir Kara announced that he will not run for the Knesset in the upcoming election or ask voters for their support. Kara said he reached the decision after a long review and had not found a political framework with the resolve to pursue the broad changes he seeks. He called for a leaner government with half as many ministries, major cost-of-living reforms and lower taxes. Kara said he would continue his public activity outside the Knesset and build support for a future return to politics.
