Court Orders Amy Winehouse’s Father to Pay Friends Nearly £1 Million

London’s High Court ordered Mitch Winehouse to make interim legal-cost payments totaling £963,851 to Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay after his failed claim over belongings associated with his late daughter, Jewish singer Amy Winehouse. Parry is due £569,330 and Gourlay £394,521 within two weeks, while the final costs will be assessed. Winehouse alleged that the two friends wrongfully profited from U.S. auctions in 2021 and 2023. The judge, who dismissed the claim in April, said he pursued an inherently weak case and made unfounded allegations that damaged the women.
