Israel's Electricity Authority began issuing supply licenses to the first companies operating public electric-vehicle charging stations, opening the regulated licensing phase for the sector. Licensees must publish prices and current station information, allow payment without advance registration, provide customer service and meet information-security requirements. The official framework sets each license for eight years and targets at least seven active license holders within five years. The authority says the rules are intended to improve payment access, price transparency, station reliability and public data on Israel's charging network.
